Knowing your audience...

In this day and age with so much content to wade through on a digital platform, it is imperative for artists to know who their market/audience is and keep a chokehold on them, where they live, how old they are, gender (possibly) and the most important thing their e-mail address. Never before has this information been available to artists via cd selling platforms or for that matter from the other digital download companies.

(Shameless Plug)

This is where we at Bandtag step in, each card that you have distributed to your audience/market and redeemed will have the chance to provide the artist with extremely valuable demographic information as mentioned above.

Imagine knowing that your last tour to sydney sold three times more cards than melbourne and that the majority of your audience is male aged 18-24, valuable info for marketing your next tour!!
What the consumer wants...

What does the new generation of music consumers want these days?

Well aren't they convenience, accesibility, moveable format (without restrictions), additional content, easy to consume at an affordable price.

Offer them what they want, when they want it, how they want it and they will pay for it!

What this blog may look like..

Over the next few months - you can expect some interesting articles within this blog, personal views on the ever-changing industry and maybe some new artists that I have come across and tracks that I am into at the moment (of course based on personal taste).

Of course updates on the site and how we are updating, adding, changing, installing.

Have had some amazing response regarding the site so far, which we are all very chuffed about here at Bandtag.

So till next time...
Quote of the day..

The product is music, an elusive, magical combination of sound and emotion, made by volatile, creative people for an audience who don't know what they want until they hear it.
Neil McCormick - UK Telegraph
